Many arrests in Burbank are made by the Burbank Police Department, although other special agents have jurisdiction to investigate cases arising in Burbank. Burbank court is a small courthouse with three criminal departments. Department 1 is designated for felony arraignment and preliminary hearing purposes. Many cases thereafter will be transferred to Pasadena Courthouse if set for trial.
